This children's nursery was painted with Northern Michigan in mind. All four
walls plus the ceiling were first painted with sky and clouds. The large birch tree
in the corner serves as the focal point of the room. Grasses, flowers and
animals native to Northern Michigan were then added, wrapping all the way
around the room just above the baseboard. A butterfly and dragonfly break
up the sky and add depth and little points of interest.
